Help Our Cause

On August 10th, a new requirement for Indoor Fitness will limit class sizes from 5 student per class with social distancing, to 1 student per 300 square feet, limiting most class sizes to less than 5 students for small studios, but allowing large gyms to operate at 25% capacity.

This will most likely close many small yoga studios that are already struggling to stay open, and ensure new studios do not make it.  Small business owners will suffer, teachers will lose their jobs, and students will lose the space they use to study philosophy, reduce stress, connect to others, and counter anxiety, depression, obesity, loneliness, and countless other challenges.

You can help by writing to Governor Jay Inslee and asking him to reconsider allowing Indoor Fitness guidelines to remain at 5 students per class-or 25% capacity-maintaining social distancing and honoring all other guidelines.
